Automatic Watering Systems via Wireless Sensor Network

Abstract
This research aimed to 1) develop an automatic watering systems through wireless sensor networks 2) study the result of using the of automatic watering systems through wireless sensor networks in the plots of farmers, And 3) study satisfaction of farmers with the automatic watering system through wireless sensor networks. The samples consisted of 10 purposive farmers who growing aspirates of Ban Tan Tha Song Khon Muang Maha Sarakham. The instruments used in the study were the automatic watering system, a recording farms and a satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics used in this research were mean and standard deviation.
The results found that: 1) the developed of automatic watering systems through wireless sensor network consisted of two parts: automatic watering system that works according to the program set, automatic watering systems controlled by computers; (2) the developed automatic watering system through a network of wireless sensors could work with the order - turn off the water valve at 20-120 meters but at could work of 140-200 meters Area if could work without obstruction. by order - turn off the water valve at 20-200 meters In measure soil moisture using a humidity sensor the sensor could function in humidity levels at 10-80, but if the humidity was up to 90 sensors, it could not work. The measured range of automatic watering systems with obstructed by the order - turn off the water valve could work in 20-120 meters but in the range of 140-200 meter it could not work. The range of automatic watering system without obstruction, by order - turn off the water valve could work in 20-200 meters. And 3) The farmers are satisfied with using the automatic watering system through wireless sensor networks at the highest level.
