Development of Learning Activities on Lemon Planting Using Practical Process Techniques of Farmer Group in Tha Song Khon, Muang, Maha Sarakham Province

Abstract

            This research aimed to 1) study problems and needs for lemon planting of farmer group in Tha Song Khon, Muang district, Maha Sarakham province. 2) to develop a series of activities to learn about the lemon planting  using practical process technique. 3) compare the achievement of learning about lemon planting. 4) to study the satisfaction of the farmers with learning about lemon planting. and 5) to synthesis the knowledge about growing lemons. The sample consisted of 10 lemon planting farmer in Tha Song Khon, Muang district, Maha Sarakham province. The instruments used in this study were 1) a survey of problems and needs for lemon planting 2) lemon planting activities 3)satisfaction questionnaire and 4) learning knowledge test. The statistics used in this study were mean and standard deviation.

            The results were as follows: 1) the farmers had opinions about lemon planting at a high level and had needs for lemon planting at the high level. 2) the developed set of lemon planting activities had 6 units  knowledge test with 10 items 6.30 hours for training  and the activities had efficiency (E1/E2) of 86.00/92.00  3) farmers had gain in knowledge at the 0.5 level of significance. 4) farmers are satisfied with to learning about lemon planting at the high level. 5) synthesizing  knowledge of lemon planting into 4 stages :  knowledge, sequence practice from basic to advance, demonstration and explanation , and practical session practice.
