Management Information System for Instructional via Web Applications

Abstract

            The purposes of this research were to 1) develop Management Information System for instruction on web applications. 2) evaluate the efficiency of the developed system for instructional Management on web applications 3) examine satisfactions of the system users. The efficiency of MIS development were evaluated by five experts. The Satisfactions of the system users composed of two groups including a group of 10 lecturers and a group of 50 third-year students, from computer science, Faculty of Science and Technology, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage. The researcher used the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as the original software model to develop the instructional system in this study. The research instruments composed of 1) the MIS for instructional via web application 2) the evaluation form for the experts to evaluate the system efficiency and 3) the satisfaction form for the system users. Data were analyzed by the statistical devices including mean and standard deviation.

The findings revealed that 1) the developed MIS for instruction via web application was efficient involving the user management system, course information system, tracking system, assessment and evaluation system, and communication system. For the present study, it divided the users into 3 groups including system administrators, lecturers, and students 2) the overall of MIS efficiency was found in a high level and 3) the overall satisfactions of both user groups were at high level.
