Development of a Tourism Promotion Application, Sai Khao Subdistrict Municipality Khlong Thom District, Krabi Province

Abstract
The research entitled Development of a Tourism Promotion Application for Sai Khao Subdistrict Municipality, Khlong Thom District, Krabi Province aimed to: 1) study and collect information on tourist attractions and important places in Sai Khao Subdistrict; 2) develop a tourism promotion application in the form of digital media; and 3) evaluate the efficiency and user satisfaction of the developed application. The sample consisted of 30 application users selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included the Sai Khao Subdistrict tourism promotion application and a user satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were mean (x ̅) and standard deviation (SD.). The application development process was conducted based on the System Approach, comprising user requirement analysis, user experience and user interface (UX/UI) design, Android mobile application development, and usability testing. The developed system covered the presentation of information on tourist attractions, restaurants, and community information in multimedia formats, together with categorized information management and content updating by administrators within the scope of smartphone-based usage in Sai Khao Subdistrict.
The research findings showed that the developed application could systematically present information on tourist attractions and important places in Sai Khao Subdistrict, enabling users to access information conveniently and quickly anytime and anywhere. The overall evaluation of application efficiency and user satisfaction was at the highest level ( = 4.86,
SD. = 0.48). The aspect with the highest mean score was User Interface (UI), followed by User Experience (UX) and system performance, respectively. These findings indicate that the application is appropriate for use as a digital tool to promote and publicize community-based tourism in Sai Khao Subdistrict Municipality, Khlong Thom District, Krabi Province.
