The Development of Virtual Reality Technology Media to Promote Tourism on Natural and Cultural Routes in Chaiyaphum Province

Abstract
This research aimed to: 1) develop virtual reality technology media to promote tourism along natural and cultural routes in Chaiyaphum Province; 2) evaluate the quality of the virtual reality technology media for promoting tourism along natural and cultural routes in Chaiyaphum Province; and 3) assess tourists’ satisfaction with the virtual reality technology media for promoting tourism along natural and cultural routes in Chaiyaphum Province. The target group consisted of 100 residents from Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Maha Sarakham Provinces, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included the virtual reality technology media for promoting tourism along natural and cultural routes in Chaiyaphum Province, a quality assessment form, and a user satisfaction questionnaire. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using mean () and standard deviation (SD.)
The research findings revealed that: 1) the developed virtual reality technology media was a web application-based information system containing tourism information on seven tourist attractions, which tourists could access via a URL; 2) the expert evaluation of the quality of the virtual reality technology media showed that the overall appropriateness was at a high level ( = 4.32, SD. = 51). 3) the satisfaction assessment of the target group indicated that their overall satisfaction with the use of the virtual reality technology media across all aspects was at the highest level (
= 4.54, SD. = 43).
