บทคัดย่อ

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปริมาณเกลือโซเดียมคลอไรด์และโคลีนที่มีผลต่อการผลิตไกลซีนบีเทน และศึกษากิจกรรมของเอนไซม์บีเทนอัลดีไฮด์ดีไฮโดรจีเนส และโคลีนดีไฮโดรจีเนส ในภาวะที่มีความเครียดจากเกลือของเชื้อ Synechococcus sp. พบว่ากิจกรรมของเอนไซม์โคลีนดีไฮโดรจีเนส และกิจกรรมของเอนไซม์บีเทนอัลดีไฮด์ดีไฮโดรจีเนส ของเชื้อ Synechococcus sp. จะเพิ่มขึ้นเมื่อเติมโคลีนลงในอาหารเลี้ยงเชื้อและเชื้อเจริญเติบโตครบ 9 วัน อย่างไรก็ตามความเข้มข้นของโคลีน 50 มิลลิโมลาร์ ไม่สามารถเพิ่มปริมาณไกลซีนบีเทนได้ ปริมาณความเข้มข้นของโคลีนที่เหมาะสมคือ 20 มิลลิโมลาร์ ซึ่งในอาหารที่เติมเกลือโซเดียมคลอไรด์ความเข้มข้น 0.5 โมลาร์ และเติมโคลีน ความเข้มข้น 20 มิลลิโมลาร์ จะเป็นภาวะที่เหมาะสมต่อการสะสมไกลซีนบีเทน ซึ่งได้ปริมาณไกลซีนบีเทน 1,986.786 + 187.839 ไมโครกรัมต่อมิลลิลิตร มีค่ากิจกรรมของเอนไซม์โคลีนดีไฮโดรจีเนสสูงสุดที่ 4.65 + 0.07 ยูนิตต่อมิลลิกรัมโปรตีน และมีกิจกรรมของเอนไซม์บีเทนอัลดีไฮด์ดีไฮโดรจีเนสสูงสุดที่ 4.99 + 0.02 ยูนิตต่อมิลลิกรัมโปรตีน จากผลการวิจัยในครั้งนี้บ่งบอกได้ว่าระดับความเข้มข้นที่สูงของเกลือโซเดียม คลอไรด์และโคลีน ไม่สามารถส่งผลต่อการสะสมที่มากขึ้นของไกลซีนบีเทนได้
